Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), often referred to as the "Gentle Art", is a martial art that emphasizes takedowns, ground fighting and submission techniques. It integrates movements and strategies from various disciplines, focusing on leverage and technique rather than brute strength. With its origins in Judo, BJJ has evolved into a contemporary practice that allows practitioners to showcase a diverse array of skills and strategies, particularly in grappling and controlling opponents. The sport is perfect for those that want to learn self defence, improve their MMA ground game, or are looking to compete in BJJ itself.
We run periodical BJJ Introductory courses which are the perfect way to get started if you are a complete beginner. The course runs for 4 weeks with 2 sessions per week, these sessions are tailor-made for those who are brand new to the sport and the aim of the course is to turn those new practitioners into confident grapplers! Eager to start before our next course? We also offer a free trial for our No-Gi grappling sessions. Our highly experienced coaches will help integrate you into Grappling from your very first session.
